Tangerang – Jajaran Polsek Benda Polres Metro Tangerang Kota berhasil mengungkap kasus dugaan tindak pidana pencurian dengan pemberatan (curanmor) sebagaimana dimaksud dalam Pasal 477 KUHP, yang terjadi di wilayah Kecamatan Benda, Kota Tangerang. Senin 16/02/2026).
Peristiwa tersebut terjadi pada Senin siang , 16 Februari 2026, di Jalan Adi Sucipto, Kelurahan Belendung, Kecamatan Benda, Kota Tangerang.
Kapolres Metro Tangerang Kota Kombes Pol. Dr. Raden Muhammad Jauhari, S.H., S.I.K., M.Si. menegaskan bahwa jajaran kepolisian akan bertindak cepat terhadap setiap tindak kejahatan jalanan, khususnya pencurian kendaraan bermotor yang meresahkan masyarakat.
“Kami berkomitmen menjaga keamanan masyarakat. Setiap aksi pencurian kendaraan bermotor akan kami tindak tegas sesuai hukum yang berlaku,” ujar Kapolres.
Kapolsek Benda AKP Sriyono, S.H., M.H. menjelaskan bahwa pengungkapan kasus tersebut bermula saat Tim Opsnal Unit Reskrim yang dipimpin Kanit Reskrim AKP M. Siagian, S.H. melaksanakan kegiatan sambang dialogis di wilayah tersebut.
Petugas mendapati dua orang yang mencurigakan sedang mengutak-atik sepeda motor Yamaha Mio yang terparkir di depan rumah warga dalam kondisi mesin mati. Kedua terduga pelaku terlihat merogoh bagian bodi depan kendaraan.
“Saat hendak diberhentikan, keduanya berusaha melarikan diri dengan melompat dari sepeda motor dan berlari. Namun, setelah dilakukan pengejaran, kedua pelaku berhasil diamankan,” jelas AKP Sriyono.
Dari hasil pemeriksaan awal, kedua pelaku mengakui melakukan pencurian dengan cara memutus dan menyambung kembali kabel soket pada bagian bodi depan sepeda motor agar kendaraan dapat dihidupkan tanpa kunci asli.
Adapun barang bukti yang berhasil diamankan berupa satu unit sepeda motor Yamaha Mio warna merah tahun 2014 berikut STNK asli dan fotokopi BPKB.
Saat ini kedua pelaku beserta barang bukti telah diamankan di Mapolsek Benda untuk menjalani proses penyidikan lebih lanjut. Mengingat para pelaku masih berusia di bawah umur, proses penanganan dilakukan sesuai dengan ketentuan sistem peradilan pidana anak, termasuk pendampingan dari orang tua, penasihat hukum, serta koordinasi dengan Balai Pemasyarakatan (Bapas).
Kapolres Metro Tangerang Kota juga mengimbau masyarakat agar selalu meningkatkan kewaspadaan dan memastikan kendaraan diparkir dalam kondisi terkunci ganda.
“Kami mengajak masyarakat untuk memasang kunci tambahan dan segera melaporkan ke Call Center 110 apabila melihat aktivitas mencurigakan di lingkungan sekitar,” tutupnya.
