Jakarta – Munas XVI Pengurus Besar Ikatan Pencak Silat Indonesia (PB IPSI) sukses digelar dengan aman dan lancar sejak 9 hingga 12 April 2026. Hal ini dikatakan humas Pengurus Pusat PSHT (Persaudaraan Setia Hati Terate) Supomo di lokasi acara Pembukaan Munas yang di resmikan oleh Presiden Prabowo pada l Sabtu, 11/4/2025.
Supomo menegaskan bahwa Munas ini adalah momen penting untuk mencari nahkoda baru setelah Ketua Umum yang juga Presiden Prabowo menyatakan diri tidak lagi maju sebagai ketua umum IPSI dikarenakan kesibukannya yang padat dalam mengurus bangsa dan negara.
Dengan keputusan Ketum IPSI Prabowo tidak mencalonkan diri kembali membuka peluang bagi tokoh-tokoh silat tanah air untuk maju sebagai kandidat.
“Siapapun yang akan mencalonkan diri dan terpilih sebagai Ketua Umum IPSI menggantikan Prabowo adalah yang terbaik buat IPSI kedepan, kami berharap kepada mereka yang terpilih agar mampu membawa atlet-atlet pencak silat Indonesia dikancah internasional untuk mengharumkan nama bangsa melalui olahraga pencak silat.
Supomo menyebut dari sekian calon ketum PB IPSI santer berhembus nama Menteri Luar Negeri sekaligus Wakil Ketua Umum IPSI Sugiono akan maju dalam pemilihan Ketum PB IPSI. Meski demikian Supomo berharap figur yang pantas memimpin IPSI adalah mereka yang mengetahui tentang seluk beluk Pencak Silat Indonesia karena pencak silat Indonesia adalah jati diri bangsa.
