Jakarta Pusat – Unit Reskrim Polsek Johar Baru berhasil mengamankan dua pria yang diduga terlibat dalam percobaan pencurian sepeda motor di wilayah Galur, Johar Baru, Jakarta Pusat. Kedua terduga pelaku diamankan setelah aksinya dipergoki warga pada Senin (2/3/2026) sore.
Peristiwa tersebut terjadi sekitar pukul 16.00 WIB di Jalan Topas RT 004/RW 002, Kelurahan Galur, Kecamatan Johar Baru. Korban diketahui seorang perempuan berinisial K (52), warga setempat. Saat itu, dua saksi yang berada di lokasi mencurigai gerak-gerik para pelaku yang mencoba merusak kunci sepeda motor milik korban.
Berdasarkan hasil penyelidikan awal, dua terduga pelaku masing-masing berinisial A.W. (26) dan I. (25). Salah satu pelaku diduga merusak kunci sepeda motor menggunakan alat khusus, sementara rekannya bertugas mengawasi situasi di sekitar lokasi.
Aksi tersebut berhasil digagalkan setelah warga setempat menangkap kedua pelaku dan membawanya ke pos RW 002 sebelum akhirnya diserahkan kepada pihak kepolisian. Dari tangan terduga pelaku, polisi mengamankan sejumlah barang bukti berupa satu kunci letter T, tiga mata kunci yang telah dimodifikasi, satu magnet pembuka kunci modifikasi, serta satu pisau kecil lengkap dengan sarungnya.
Kapolres Metro Jakarta Pusat Kombes Pol Reynold E.P. Hutagalung menegaskan pihaknya berkomitmen untuk menindak tegas segala bentuk kejahatan jalanan, termasuk pencurian kendaraan bermotor yang meresahkan masyarakat.
“Kami tidak akan memberi ruang bagi pelaku kejahatan yang meresahkan masyarakat. Penegakan hukum akan dilakukan secara profesional dan sesuai prosedur,” ujarnya.
Sementara itu, Kapolsek Johar Baru Kompol Saiful Anwar mengatakan kedua terduga pelaku saat ini telah diamankan di Mapolsek Johar Baru untuk menjalani proses penyelidikan dan penyidikan lebih lanjut.
“Kami masih melakukan pendalaman, termasuk menelusuri kemungkinan keterlibatan pelaku di lokasi lain serta memeriksa rekaman CCTV di sekitar tempat kejadian perkara,” jelasnya.
Polsek Johar Baru juga mengimbau masyarakat untuk tetap waspada terhadap tindak kejahatan kendaraan bermotor serta segera melaporkan aktivitas mencurigakan kepada pihak kepolisian agar keamanan lingkungan tetap terjaga.
